Our RESLS (Retractable Electric Self-Launching System) offered standardly for the GP 14 VELO and GP 15 JETA sailplanes will shortly benefit from second gen traction batteries with plenty of updates! Even more interesting 3rd generation is expected to come as early as next year. The GPG-MGM Compro close cooperation pushes the envelope in electric propulsion systems in gliding - no more aerotow, no more weak days spent on the ground! The optimized layout of the cells within the battery pack with improved forced air-cooling and utilization of VTC6 cells allows to operate in 90% capacity cycles which significantly extends the battery life and extracts the highest efficacy. The new connectors improve safety yet again and robustness too. In the large 8,1 kWh iteration the total climb of the VELO and JETA is guaranteed of over 4 000 m agl @ one charge - all for your gliding and climbing pleasure.
